How Angi charges for leads

Angi's pro FAQ says you pay a nominal fee for each lead you match to and that different sized jobs have different lead fees. The same FAQ says Angi connects customers with multiple Angi Leads pros, so you are rarely the only one calling. You pay for the lead whether or not it turns into work, which Jobber's comparison also points out.

Angi Ads is a separate product with monthly spend instead of per-lead fees. Jobber reports users paying about $300 a month on average, on a one-year contract with a fee if you cancel early. Check which one you are being sold before you sign.

Angi lead cost by trade

Angi and HomeAdvisor shared leads, from Leadgen Economy (updated April 2026). Reported ranges, not Angi’s price list.
TradeReported cost per leadContractors per lead
Plumbing$15 to $403 to 5
Electrical$15 to $353 to 5
HVAC$20 to $503 to 5
Roofing$25 to $603 to 5
Windows and doors$25 to $603 to 5
Bathroom remodel$40 to $803 to 4
Kitchen remodel$50 to $100+3 to 4

Those ranges come from Leadgen Economy's marketplace breakdown. Jobber gives a wider spread of $15 to $100 per lead. Your own price depends on your trade, your service area and how many pros compete for it, and you see it in your account before you accept a lead type.

How to get credit for a bad Angi lead

Angi's article on requesting a lead credit lists the problems it will consider:

  • Wrong contact details, such as a disconnected number or one that isn’t the homeowner’s.
  • A project outside the ZIP codes on your profile.
  • A project type that doesn’t match the services on your profile.
  • Being charged twice for the same homeowner within 45 days.
  • Being charged while your lead flow was paused.

The conditions matter as much as the reason. The lead has to be less than 45 days old, you should have tried to call the homeowner within 24 hours, and your account can’t have an overdue balance. Annual subscribers can report a bad lead but are not offered credits. Request it from the lead in the Leads tab, in the app or on the web. Angi reviews requests within 5 business days, and credits expire if you don’t use them within six months.

That 24-hour rule is easy to miss on a busy week. Calling every lead the same day protects the credit as well as the job.

Are Angi leads legit?

Most Angi leads are real homeowners who asked for help, and the complaints are less about fake leads than about what happens next. On Trustpilot, where Angi Leads has tens of thousands of reviews from pros, the same problems come up again and again: leads shared with too many contractors, homeowners who never answer, and credit requests that were turned down. Keep a log of each lead's date, price and your call attempts so a credit request has what it needs.

Is Angi worth it? Work out your cost per booked job

Cost per lead hides the real number. Say your leads cost $45. If you reach and book 1 in 5, each booked estimate cost $225 in lead spend. Book 1 in 3 and it drops to $135. Compare that with the gross profit on an average job and with your other sources. Our Google LSA cost per lead guide has a 2026 benchmark of about $121 in lead spend per booked job across trades, and Thumbtack’s pricing works differently again.

With 3 to 5 contractors on every lead, the first one to call usually books it. Angi's own advice is to call within 15 minutes. HelloSetter, which we make, calls Angi leads within 60 seconds and books the estimate, and our follow-up guide lays out a schedule for the ones who don't pick up.
